This is an outstanding 1930's Italian Marquetry cabinet or bar. The front, sides, and top of the cabinet are decorated with delicate floral motifs using various exotic woods such as satinwood and rosewood. The lock probably works fine, but we don't have the original key. We have a replacement key that only serves as a handle. On the inside there is a glass shelf and a mirrored back and a lighted top. Pull out the apron at the bottom to reveal a cleverly disguised secret drawer. There are a couple of scratches in the wood on the interior right wall which are shown in the photographs. The light inside retains it's original European wiring and would need to be updated to U.S. standards to light it in the U.S., but this is unnecessary because the full mirrored back provides plenty of light. It measures 50" high x 37" Long x 18" deep. SOLD!
